William Taylor

December 8, 1937 — November 17, 2017

William "Gerald" Taylor, 79, of Parksville, passed away Friday, November 17, 2017 at St. Joseph Hospice Care in Lexington. He was born on December 8, 1937 in Forkland to the late Henly and Geneva Mae Wilcher Taylor. Gerald was preceded in death by his wife, Grace Pingleton Taylor.

He worked for Corning Glass for over 35 years and loved to farm. Gerald was a Navy veteran and a member of North Rolling Fork Baptist Church.

Surviving is a son, Jeff Taylor of Parksville; two daughters, Belinda Jones (Greg) of Science Hill and Theresa Lassiter of Murray; a sister, Shelby Jean House (John) of Lexington; two grandchildren, Christopher Jones and Dalton Lassiter; a niece, Pam Baldridge of Lexington, and a nephew, Tony House of Lexington.

Along with his wife Grace, he is preceded in death by a son, Billy Taylor.

Funeral services will be 1PM Tuesday, November 21 ,2017 at Preston Pruitt Spurlin Funeral Home with Bro. Gary King officiating. Burial in Danville Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 11AM-1PM Tuesday.

Pallbearers are Christopher Jones, Greg Jones, Dalton Lassiter, and Tony House.
