Vivian Messinger Wade, 75, wife of James Eddie Wade, died January 16, 2013. Born August 11, 1938 in Lincoln County, she was the daughter of the late Shafer and Ethel Harris Messinger. She was a bookkeeper for Big Value Grocery and a member of Willow Grove Baptist Church. Vivian was a University of Kentucky basketball fan who loved the outdoors, camping and visiting with family and friends. In addition to her husband of almost 58 years, she is survived by a son; James D. (Denise) Wade of Perryville, Ky., a daughter; Melanie (Rick) McDonald of Lexington, Ky., two grandchildren; Nicholas Wade and Holly Kent, her soon to be first great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother; Marvin Messinger and a sister; Willow Dean Peck. The funeral service will be Friday, 11 am at Willow Grove Baptist Church with Rev. John Thompson officiating. Burial will be in Danville Memorial Gardens. Visitation is Thursday, 4-8 pm at Willow Grove Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Heritage Hospice.
