Ronnie Lee Poynter

Ronnie Lee Poynter, 76, of Danville passed away on Wednesday, November 1, 2023.  Born September 18, 1947, he was the son of the late Grover and Wilma Longworth Poynter.

Ronnie is a US Army veteran.  He loved to fish and to trade guns.  Ronnie was a member of Ellisburg Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Diane Harmon Poynter.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Ronnie Dewayne Poynter.

Visitation is 5-8 pm, Sunday at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home.  Funeral Service is 11 am, Monday at the funeral home with Bro. Bud Stidham officiating.  Pallbearers are Larry Wright, Kelly Poynter, Jarrett Long, Ethan Parson, Robbie Pike, and Rick Lunsford.  Honorary pallbearers are Estil Sims, Sam Beck, Joe Mitchell, and Will Bentley.  Burial is at Danville Memorial Gardens.
