Roger Dale Southerland

Roger Dale Southerland, 55, of Hustonville passed away on Monday, April 11, 2022.  Born March 11, 1967, he was the son of the late Paul Junior and Delois Ferrell Southerland.  Roger worked at Honeywell.  He attended the Gathering Place Church in Stanford where he was part of the leadership team.  His hobby was running beagles and rabbit hunting.  Roger was full of life and loved to “pull pranks.”

Roger is survived by his wife of 31 years, Janet Pike Southerland of Hustonville; five sons: Kenny Napier, Andrew Southerland, Zach Pike, Dayshawn Miniard, and Jayden Miniard; seven daughters:  Janice (Adam) Minkel, Leslie Napier, Alexandria Southerland, Haley Southerland, Dontashia Southerland, Emilie Southerland, and Nevaeh Southerland; three brothers:  Gregory (Melissa) Southerland of Geneva, Brian (Tracie) Southerland of Hustonville, and Dewayne Southerland of Georgetown; four sisters:  Freda (Kim) Shepherd of Lancaster, Beverly (Ricky) Watts of Danville, Glorita (Ricky) Denson of Stanford, and Tracy (Jeff) Brown of Stanford; and three grandchildren: Alexa, Caela, and Gabriella.

Visitation is 6-8 pm, Wednesday at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be at 12 pm, Thursday with Bro. Ken Hall and Bro. Danny Roy officiating.  Pallbearers are Dustin Tapscott, David Auberry, Brian Southerland, Bo Wilson, Ricky Denson, Greg Southerland, and Eric Carey.  Burial is in Danville Memorial Gardens.
