Roberta Neale “Bobbie” Lancaster, 84, of Danville passed away on Saturday, June 17, 2023. Born August 22, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Robert True and Elsie Margaret Mulcahy Lancaster.
Survivors include three sisters: Joyce Walls of Danville, Maxine (Ray) Willis of Lexington, and Rita Ruth Richardson of Florida; special friends who were like family to her: Gary Joe (Becky) Lanham of Alaska, Gary Joe (Mary) Lanham, Jr. of South Carolina, and Carma (Joey) Sears of Danville and their children, Skylen and Ryder; and nieces, nephews, and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, William Clay Lancaster.
Bobbie retired from GTE where she worked as a telephone operator. She had also worked as a PBX operator at Ephraim McDowell. She had attended First Pentecostal Church of God in Versailles for many years. More recently, she had attended Junction City First Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School until her health no longer allowed her to do so. She was also very active in the Ladies Ministry at Junction City First Baptist. Bobbie was loved and will be missed by her family and many friends.
Visitation is 10:30am-12:30pm, Wednesday at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will follow at 12:30pm, Wednesday with Bro. David Carpenter officiating. Burial will be at Danville Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers are Jeff Walls, Joey Sears, Gary Joe Lanham, Jr., Pete Kendrick, Larry Kendrick, and Mark Kendrick. Honorary pallbearers are the members of her Sunday School Class.
