Nancy Merkling

Nancy Lee Varney Merkling, 78, died March 2, 2020 at the University of Kentucky Hospital. Born November 28, 1941 to the late Reginald and Vernette Varney. Nancy was a member of Saints Peter and Paul. She was a dedicated Catholic and was caring and kind-hearted. Nancy always signed with a little red heart.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years, LeRoy Merkling; two daughters, Grace Burnette Summers -Knudsen (Scott) of Newville, WI and Catherine Kallatch of Lansdale, PA; one son, Mark Allen (Lisa) Merkling of Burlington, WI; eight grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Donald (Janice) Varney of Williamstown, NC.
Funeral mass will be 12 pm, Friday, March 6, 2020 at Ss Peter and Paul. The celebrant will be Father Anthony. Burial will be at Danville Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be prior to the service from 10 am- 12 pm. Memorial donations are suggested to Ss. Peter and Paul.
