Monty J. Bryant III, 30, of Danville, died Monday, December 5, 2023. Born Jan 22, 1993, he was the son of Monty “Butch” Bryant Jr. and Shawn Price Lewis. He was a 2011 graduate of Danville High School and worked in manufacturing. He was his Papaw’s sidekick and learned the bible from him, and was known for being his Granny’s boy. He was also silly and goofy and known for being a jokester. In his spare time, he loved fishing! He saw the good in people and brought joy to everyone, even though he could be stubborn and hard-headed. He had the most beautiful eyes and was the life of the party. His big heart and love will be missed by everyone that knew him and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his grandmothers, the late Jeanette Bryant and the late Audrey Edwards, and his aunt, the late Deanna Jett.
In addition to his parents, Monty “Butch” Bryant Jr. and Shawn Price Lewis (Kenneth), he is survived by his brothers, Bricen Thompson and Arthur Lewis, sisters Elizabeth “Liz” Bradshaw (Gabriel) and Ashley Lewis, grandparents; Monty Bryant Sr. and Joyce & Ed Roach, aunts and uncles; Diedra “Dee” Rector (James), Alicia “Lisa” Anderson, Sue Brown (Robin), Debbie Bradford, nieces and nephews; Jayden Spencer, Peyton Spencer and Wyatt Jones, cousins; Josh Anderson, Louis Anderson, Danielle Wiese (Mitchell), Jackie Bradley, Louis “Bubba” Wheeler (Kristi) and too many friends to name.
The Visitation will be held, 11am – 1pm, Friday, December 8, 2023, at Stith Funeral Home, in Junction City. The funeral service will follow, and burial will be at Danville Memorial Gardens. Rev. Wayne Wesley will officiate. Pallbearers will be Bricen Thompson, Shane Taylor, Josh Anderson, Robin Brown, Lewis “Bubba” Wheeler, Gabe Bradshaw, and James “Turtle” Rector. Honorary pallbearer will be Chad Wheeler, Chris Jackson, and Lee Anderson. Interment will be in Danville Memorial Gardens.
