DANVILLE: Lindell Terry Stanley, 91, passed away Sunday, January 12, 2014. Mrs. Stanley was born February 22, 1922 to the late Tolbert Sydney and Dottie Blevins Terry and was the widow of George Stanley.
Mrs. Stanley was a member of Fairview Baptist Church, was a former head cook at Lincoln County High School, a production associate at Whirlpool Manufacturing and enjoyed quilting, studying family genealogy, attending family reunions, and was an accomplished Painter with many works of Art.
She is survived by a daughter, Lois E. King of Danville, a son, Donald Glen (Julia) Stanley of KS, 7 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Stanley was preceded in death by a daughter, Eyvonnie Stanley and a son, David Harold Stanley, whose wife, Mary Delores Stanley of Stanford survives. She was also preceded by her siblings, Stanley, Freddie, Clinton, and Gordon Terry, Dorothy Ely, Verda Mallot, Ina Douglas, and Elura Merriman.
Funeral service will be 1:00p.m., Thursday, January 16, 2014 at Preston-Pruitt Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Danville Memorial Gardens. Visitation will begin at 11:00a.m. at the funeral home.
