Lela Marie Davis, 85, widow of Caleb Davis, died September 30, 2009 at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center. Born November 19, 1923 in Bon Jellico, Ky., she was the daughter of the late Harrison and Cindy Meadows Shepard. She was a homemaker and a member of Lexington Avenue Baptist Church. Survivors include two sons; Luther Lee (Betty) Hodge of Lincoln County, Ky. and Ted (Sherri) Hodge of Danville, Ky., two sisters; Jan (Frank) Schantz of Somerset, Ky. and Gladys (Bill) Briggs of Crooksville, Oh., five grandchildren; Kimberly Marie Wall, David Lee Hodge, Melinda Pearl Schagane, Kelsey Hodge and Kandace Hodge and four great-grandchildren; Todd Wall, Ryan Wall, Kevin Hodge and Kristina Hodge. She was predeceased by a daughter; Sondra L. Hodge and two sisters; Arlie McCracken and Margie Williams. The funeral service will be Monday at 11 am at Stith Funeral Home with Rev. Lance Ladd. Burial will be in Danville Memorial Gardens. Visitation is Sunday from 6-8 pm at Stith Funeral Home.
