Keisha LeShun Tillman Kirkland passed on Tuesday, October 29, 2013 at her home in Florida.
Keisha was born on December 3, 1971 in Monroe, Louisiana to her proud parents, Ennis and Linda Tillman. She married Lorenzo Levon Kirkland on June 1, 2002.
Keisha graduated with honors from Danville High School in 1989, where she excelled in sports. She continued her education at the University of Louisville and received her Doctorate of Chiropractic from Life University in Marietta, Georgia. Keisha also studied meteorology at Mississippi State University.
She worked as a meteorologist for WKYT Channel 27 in Lexington, Kentucky and most recently at WYFF, an affiliate of NBC, in Greenville, South Carolina.
She accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior at an early age and was baptized at First Baptist Church by the late Rev. Richard Hill. Keisha was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Greenville, South Carolina.
Keisha was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Pauline Sanders; two uncles, Andrew Tillman and Dave Tillman; and her father-in-law, Rev. Levern Kirkland Sr.
To cherish her memory and continue her legacy, Keisha leaves a husband, Lorenzo Levon Kirkland; a daughter, Kennedy LeVon Kirkland; her parents, Ennis and Linda Tillman; a sister, Tori (Craig) Yeast; one nephew, Craig Yeast II ("Russ"); one niece, Kiyah Yeast; her paternal grandmother, Elvee Tillman of Delhi, LA; her mother-in-law, Helen Kirkland; Aunts, Doris (Arlin) Morgan, Janet (Frankie) Cole, and Valerie Thornton all of Sacramento, CA, Yvonne (Rufus) Tillman and Nancy Hardy of Delhi, LA, Carrie (Charles) Rogers and Bobbie (Mark) Sledge of Monroe, LA, Cosie (Lester) Robinson of Branson, MO, and Gertrude Tillman of Shreveport, LA; Uncles, Joseph (Mattie) Kinsey, Willie Tillman, and Esco (Stephanie) Tillman of Tallulah, LA, Rufus (Yvonne) Tillman and Johnny (Dorothy) Tillman of Delhi, LA, Eugene (Sherryl) Tillman of Branson, MO, Timothy (Veronica) Johnson of Monroe, LA, and James Drake of Dallas, TX; four sister-in-laws, two brother-in-laws, and a host of relatives and friends.
