Johnny Wooldridge, 75, of Hiram, Georgia, formerly of Danville, passed away March 19, 2023 in Georgia. He was born March 22, 1947 in Danville, Kentucky to the late Jess and Mattie Ellis Wooldridge. Johnny is survived by his wife of 42 years, Kathy Morgan Wooldridge.
Johnny drove a truck for over 35 years and was a member of the National Guard for over 6 years. He loved to hunt, fish, trap shoot and tinkering with his lawn mowers. Johnny was a family man and loved his family dearly. He was a member of Willow Grove Baptist Church.
Surviving are two sons, Johnny Wooldridge II (Megan Estes) of Danville and Robert Jason Wooldridge (Crystal) of Knoxville; a brother, Bobby Wooldridge (Betty) of Danville; grandchildren: Jarrod Neil Wooldridge (Chris Jones) of Louisville, Courtney Lynn Wooldridge of Lexington, Chelsey Holsenback (Brian Stiverson) of Knoxville, TN, Mitchell Wooldridge of Knoxville, TN, Mason Hacker of Danville and Dudley Hacker of Danville; two great-grandchildren, Keegan and Willow Stiverson; and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Josephine Stinson, Lorraine Wooldridge, Donald Wooldridge, Ronald Wooldridge, Roy Lee Wooldridge, Emmalene Merriman, and Betty Jean Herald.
Funeral services will be 11am Monday, March 27, 2023 at Preston Pruitt Spurlin Funeral Home with Rev. Darrell Estes officiating. Burial will follow in Danville Memorial Gardens. Visitation is Sunday, March 26, 2023 from 5-8pm at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Jason Wooldridge, Johnny Wooldridge II, Mitchell Wooldridge, Jarrod Wooldridge, Courtney Wooldridge, Mason Hacker and Dudley Hacker.
Honorary pallbearers are Don Wooldridge, Steve Wooldridge, Jane Trumbull, Jean Herald, Terry Owens, Rudy Tyler, Bill Barber, Griff Carey, Kim West and nieces and nephews.
