Jerry Carpenter

Jerry Wayne Carpenter, 76, passed away Monday, April 3, 2023. He was born August 30, 1946 in Boyle County, Kentucky to the late Alvin and Ruth Clarkson Carpenter and was the husband of Mary Mattingly Carpenter.
Jerry served his country in the United States Army and was a member of Wesley Chapel Methodist Church. Jerry enjoyed fishing, crossword puzzles, and UK Basketball. Most of all, Jerry enjoyed reading his Bible and spending time with his grandkids and great-grandkids.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include two sons, Terry Carpenter, and Troy Carpenter, three siblings, Billy Carpenter, Bobby Carpenter, and Annette Cocanougher, three grandchildren, Caitlin (Dakota) Douglas, Makenzie (James) Crawford, and Shane Carpenter, and seven great grandchildren.
The funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m., Friday April 7, 2023 at Walden Funeral Home with Pastor Dean Carpenter officiating. Burial will follow at Danville Memorial Gardens in Danville, Kentucky. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m., to 1:00 p.m., Friday April 7, 2023, also at Walden Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Joey Cocanougher, Will Cocanougher, Kenny Carpenter, Joe Mattingly, Marion Cummins, and Tony Mattingly.
