James Herbert Proctor, 69 of Danville went to his Heavenly Home on Friday, August 10, 2018. Born November 30, 1948, he was the son of the late Elmer and Georgia Cox Proctor. He retired from Nichol’s Ashland where he worked as a mechanic and did body repair. James owned JP Computer Systems. He was an avid bass fisherman, drag boat racer and hunter. He loved being a member of Pleasant Run Baptist Church. As a teenager, he was a member of the former Dillehay Rats. He was preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Molly Proctor who died in January of this year. He is survived by two daughters, Wanda Jo Proctor of Danville and Jamie (Tim) Dunaway of Lawrenceburg; four grandchildren: Savannah Ray, Carl James Dunaway, Haley (Jordon) Walton and Mary Louise Proctor; two great grand dogs, Harley Jo Proctor and Bishop Proctor. Services will be at 11 am, Wednesday at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home by Bro. JR Fields with burial in Danville Memorial Gardens. Visitation is 5-9 pm, Tuesday. Pallbearers are Butch Wine, Jacob Balser, Neil Ray, CJ Dunaway, Jordon Walton and Tim Dunaway. Honorary pallbearers are Curt Herrington, Chester Nichols, Charlie Brown, Ronnie Walls, Chad Fields and the men of Pleasant Run Baptist Church.
