James Anderson

James Robert “Bob” Anderson, 92, of Danville, passed away Monday, July 29, 2019 at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center. He was born on October 31, 1926 in Lewisburg, Kentucky to the late John Luther and Susie Cain Anderson. James was preceded in death by his loving wife, Wanda.

James was a proud veteran of the United States Army and retired from Angell Manufacturing.

James is survived by one son; James David Anderson of Danville; one daughter, Carolyn A. Clifton of Danville; a sister, Willie Harper of Lewisburg; one grandchild; Tory Collins (Damon); three great-grandchildren, Cristalynn Bottoms, James C. Tanner Bottoms, and Christopher Collins and two great great-grandchildren, James Alexander F. Bottoms and Asher Jace Bottoms.

Along with his loving wife, Wanda, James was also preceded in death by a daughter, Derotha Lynn Anderson; a brother, Herbert Earl Anderson and a sister, Dovie Barker.

Funeral service will be held on Friday, August 2, 2019 at Preston Pruitt Spurlin Funeral Home at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow at Danville Memorial Gardens in Danville. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 PM on Thursday, August 1, 2019 at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be David Anderson, Damon Collins, James Tanner Bottoms, Christopher Collins, Jimmy Harper, Benny Harper, Billy Harper, Teddy Harper and Wally Haper.
