Hershel Pullum

June 2, 1939 — February 22, 2018

Hershel Pullum, 78, husband of Geneva McFerron Pulliam, died Thursday, February 22, 2018 at his residence. Born June 2, 1939 in South Fork, KY., he was the son of Vonnie and Mary Caldwell Pullum. He was retired from Whirlpool and Matsushita in Danville and was a member of Herrington Lake Pentecostal Church. Hershel enjoyed fishing, hunting, watching old westerns and spending time with his grandchildren.

Survivors include two sons: Donnie (Mary) Pulliam and Ronnie (Donna) Pulliam both of Harrodsburg; one daughter Judy Morrison of Harrodsburg, four sisters: Edith Dean of Indiana, Frances Carlisle of Indiana, Fern McFerron of Harrodsburg, and Doris Clark of Danville. Five grandchildren: Ashley Morrison, Andrew Pulliam, Stephanie Pulliam, Amanda (Derek) Pittman, and Christopher Pulliam; one great grandson Aiden Pittman and several nieces and nephews also survive.

He was preceded in death by two brothers Ralph Pullum and Earl Pullum and one sister Opal Sweet.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at the Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home with Bro. Larry Holbrook officiating. Burial will be in Danville Memorial Gardens with Andrew Pulliam, Billy McFerron, Wayne Taylor, Charles McFerron, Timmy Taylor, and William McFerron serving as active pallbearers. Mark Tolson and Hershel's grandchildren will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home.
