Grace Laverne Pingleton Taylor, 82, of Parksville, passed away Saturday at Christian Care Center in Lancaster. She was born October 6, 1934 in Garrard County to the late Jesse and Ruby Harris Pingleton. Grace is survived by her husband of 57 years, William Gerald Taylor.
She graduated from Paint Lick High School in Garrard County and then went on to become at LPN at Ephraim McDowell Hospital for many years. Grace had a green thumb growing beautiful flowers and loved to sew. She was a member of the North Rolling Fork Baptist Church.
Surviving are two sons, Jeff and William "Billy" Taylor of Parksville; two daughters, Belinda Jones (Greg) of Science Hill and Theresa Lassiter of Murray; four brothers: Floyd Pingleton of Lancaster, Sidney Pingleton (Edna) of Copper Creek, Silas Pingleton (Geneva) of Sand Gap, and James Pingleton (Fronnie) of Copper Creek; four sisters, Rena Chandler of Richmond, Mary Rains (Jack) of Winchester, Marie Banks ( Porter) of Winchester, and Irene Burke (Roger) of Mt. Vernon; and two grandchildren: Christopher Jones of Louisville and Dalton Lassiter of Murray.
Along with her parents, Grace is preceded in death by two brothers: Stanley and Lloyd Pingleton and a son in law, Shayne Lassiter
Funeral services will be 1PM Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at Preston Pruitt Spurlin Funeral Home with Bro. Gary King officiating. Burial will be in Danville Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 11AM until the time of service.
Pallbearers will be Jeff and Billy Taylor, Greg Jones, Tony House, Dalton Lassiter, and Christopher Jones.
Memorial contributions are preferred to Alzheimer's Association.
