Gladys Lanham Wesley, 84, died Friday, February 8, 2013. Born June 11, 1928, in Marion County, she was the daughter of Charlie Brown and Mattie Shanks Lanham. She was a homemaker and the widow of Joseph E. Wesley. Gladys was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church and was predeceased by two brothers and a sister.

She is survived by a daughter, Lana Bartley and a son Larry "Weasel" Wesley and his wife, Brenda Wesley, both of Danville; three sisters, Clara Milburn and Golden Wilson, both of Danville, and Margaret Bandy of Louisville; seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

The funeral service will be 10 a.m., Tuesday at Centenary United Methodist Church. Rev. Gene Shields will officiate. Burial will be in the Danville Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will Roger Milburn, Danny Milburn, Alan Wilson, Greg Wilson, Joey Carpenter and Jacob Osborne. Honorary pallbearers will be Bruce Milburn, Marcus Faulconer and Brent Wilson. Visitation will be after 5 p.m., Monday at Stith Funeral Home. The family requests memorial donation be sent to the American Cancer Society.
