Geraldine Benge

Geraldine Pearl Watkins Benge, 92, formerly of Danville, widow of Robert Lee Benge, died Sunday April 19, 2020 in Harrodsburg. Born May 22, 1927 in Anderson County, she was the daughter of the late Lindsey and Mary Bush Lafoe Watkins. She was a retired Presser at Palm Beach in Danville and was a member of the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Lancaster.

Geraldine enjoyed crafting and watching television. Her favorite shows were Days of Our Lives and The Voice.

Survivors include her daughter Patty (Keith) Taylor of Harrodsburg; one granddaughter Tracie Lynn Ring of Harrodsburg; one step-granddaughter Katrina Faith (Arness) Buford of Harrodsburg; one great grandson Cameron Neal Waford; four step great grandchildren Elijiah Buford, Malakye Buford, Jakobe Buford, and Mikaela Buford; and her loving dogs she referred to as her "Little Cry Babies" Cody and Missy.

She was preceded in death by one brother Lindsey Thomas Watkins; two sisters: Lula Margaret Dailey and Phyllis Jewell Warmoth; and her loving dog Baby.

Due to current restrictions placed on public gatherings, a Private Graveside Funeral Service will be held at Danville Memorial Gardens with Darrell Hahn officiating.  Honorary pallbearers are Robert Boyd, Allen Moore, Keith Taylor, Clyde Adkins, Raymond Montgomery, Gerald Watkins, Ron Mitchell, Robbie Ring, Larry Adkins, Arness Buford, Cameron Waford, Donnie Adkins, and Kenny Kretzer.
