Frank Edward Walker, 76, died Friday, December 14, 2012 following an illness. Born November 26, 1936 at the family farm on White Oak Road, he was the son of Henry Thomas and Frieda Katherine Feistritzer Walker. He attended the Junction City schools. He was a Catholic whose roots were in St. Patrick's Catholic Church. Frank was a lifelong farmer and raised and worked Belgium horses, at one time he had as many as thirty. He also worked his horses in the plantings at Pack's Nursery. He loved to hunt, especially rabbits and he raised beagles. Frank loved music and played the dobro. Frank was predeceased by a daughter, Frieda and two brothers, David Walker and William Walker.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Ramona Snow Walker; two sons, James E. (Melissa) Walker of Junction City and Henry T. (Regina) Walker of Stanford; one brother, Tommy (Nadine) Walker of Junction City; nine sisters, Martha (Charles) Carmickle of Danville, Rosalie (A.G.) Vanvooren of Finchville, Ky., Henrietta (Howard) Rutherford of Bullard, Texas, Isabel (Donnie) Carter of Danville, Mary Frances (Kevin) Heighton of Junction City, Dorothy (Barry) Botti of Bullard, Texas, Clara Walker of Melissa, Texas, Patti (Tom) Gay of Boise, Idaho and Freida (Marion) Minor of Danville; five grandchildren, Christian, David, Jacob, Anakin and Hannah Walker.

The funeral mass will be at 11 a.m., Wednesday, at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. The celebrant will be Fr. Tom Farrell. Burial will be in Danville Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be after 5 p.m., Tuesday at Stith Funeral Home, Junction City. Memorial donations are suggested to Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church.
