Frances Mae Belcher Pendygraft, 80, died Saturday, August 1, 2009. Born June 3, 1929 in Forkland, Ky., she was the daughter of the late Clarence Oden and Beulah Mae Johnson Belcher. She retired from Kentucky School for the Deaf as a housekeeper. Frances was associated with both Shelby City Baptist Church and Alum Springs Church of God during her lifetime. She is the widow of Ira Bee Pendygraft and was predeceased by a daughter Wanda Gale Burkhead, two brothers, Allen Belcher and Oden Belcher and three sisters, June Herring, Hazel Gordon, and Ruth Ann Boyd. Survivors include a daughter, Ann Williams (Winfred) Wesley of Danville; two sons, Larry Gene (Debbi) Pendygraft of Stanford and Jackie Darion Pendygraft of Junction City; a brother, David Belcher of Junction City and three sisters, Mary Martin of Sacramento, Ca., Deloris Murphy of Junction City and Judy Carol Baker of Stanford; three grandchildren, Randy Wayne Williams, Derik Neal Burkhead, Anita Morris Pendygraft; three great grandchildren, Jeremy Wayne Williams, Melissa Ann Williams, Joseph Kyle King; and two great-great grandchildren, Jordan Bryce Williams and Kaylee Dawn Williams. The funeral will be 12 noon, Wednesday at Stith Funeral Home, Junction City with Rev. Paul McFarland officiating. Burial will be in Danville Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Jeneal "Hooter" Burkhead, Randy Williams, Jeremy Williams, Winfred Wesley, Mark Satterly, and Scott West.
