Dollye Bandy, 83, of Danville, passed away Sunday, February 19, 2017 at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center. She was born on August 17, 1933 in Boyle County, KY to the late Linnie and Celia Rogers Bandy.
She was a telephone operator for AT&T for many years. She taught Sunday School Class for over 22 years, and was the church secretary at Hedgeville Baptist Church. Dollye was a current member of Bluegrass Pike Baptist Church.
Surviving is a brother, Roger Bandy(Felsie) of Lincoln County; a sister, Sandra King(Jim) of Boyle County; three nephews, Scott King, Jeff King, and Clay Parsons; two nieces, Kim Lester and Gayle Johnson; three great nieces: Ginny King, Savannah King, and Caroline King; three great nephews: Jeffery King, Luke King, and Zach King; and two great- great nieces: Hailey King and Kenzie King.
Along with her parents, Dollye was preceded in death by a sister, Edith Webster and a nephew, Barry Bandy.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Thursday, February 23, 2017 at Preston Pruitt Spurlin Funeral Home with Bro. Travis Alltop officiating. Visitation will be 5-8 PM Wednesday.
Burial will be in Danville Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers are Scott King, Blake Bandy, Luke King, Jeffrey King, Dan Roller, and Jim King.
