Davis Lynn Nevius, 70, of Junction City, died September 30, 2013. Born December 10, 1942 to Floyd Todd and Myrtle Curtis Nevius, he was retired from Penn Ventilation. He was a member of Alum Springs First Church of God, loved spending time with family and his grandchildren, and loved helping others. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Nevius and a brother, John Nevius.
Survivors include his sons, Allen Lynn (Cindy) Nevius and Kevin Todd Nevius, both of Junction City, a brother, Calvin Nevius of Lancaster, six sisters, Celesta (James) Lawson of Danville, Dessie (Otis) Rigney of Alum Springs, Shirley (Charlie) Brown of Danville, Betty Cook of Louisville, Barbara Cox and Linda Stevens, both of Junction City, and two grandsons, Justin Nevius and Drew Nevius.
The funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday at Alum Springs First Church of God. Rev. Keith Willoughby will officiate. Pallbearers will be Danny Rigney, Martin Lawson, Glenn Chadwell, Ricky Carter, Leroy Douglas, Drew Nevius and Henry McCowan. Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m., Wednesday at Stith Funeral Home in Junction City. Interment will be in Danville Memorial Gardens.
