David Allen Robinson, 49, husband of Shelly Stagner Robinson, died Friday, April 19, 2013 at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center. Born October 23, 1963 in Harrodsburg, he was the son of Judy Elizabeth Giles Robinson of Harrodsburg and the late Homer Robinson. He was retired from the Maintenance Department at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center and was a member of the Immanuel Baptist Church where he served as Deacon. David enjoyed spending time in the outdoors including: hunting, fishing, U.K. Sports, and his dogs.
Survivors besides his wife and mother include his daughter Lindsay (Nick) Whited of Liberty, two brothers: Mark Shaun Robinson of Harrodsburg and Christopher Robinson of Cleveland, OH. One sister Debby Lynn Combs of Harrodsburg, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins, one niece, three nephews, one great niece, and one great nephew also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 23, 2013 at the Immanuel Baptist Church with Dr. Harold Best officiating. Burial will be in Danville Memorial Gardens with Jeremy Bottom, Ronnie Robinson, Clayton Denny, Manuel Conder, Jack Caldwell, and Robbie Stagner serving as active pallbearers. David's co-workers in the Maintenance Department at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center, Mike Birch, and Levi and Leighton Combs will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday and from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Immanuel Baptist Church, 1280 Faulkner Lane, Danville, KY 40422.
The Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home in Harrodsburg is in charge of arrangements.
