David Edwin Beldon, 68, died Tuesday, March 1, 2022 at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center. He was born in Marion County on September 12, 1953 to the late Harse and Norma June Coppage Beldon. David attended Boyle County High School and later worked for Hitachi Automotive Products in Harrodsburg. David loved sports and watched NASCAR and the NBA, college sports and news shows. He loved UK and high school sports, Danville and Boyle County. David always had a radio on with a ballgame playing. He loved his morning coffee trip to Speedway. David loved his family; Dorothy, Heather and Derrick and all of his grandkids, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. He would do anything for them and always did. David had a great laugh and sense of humor and was known to give people nicknames. He was a special man.
David was the BEST and will be greatly missed by anyone who knew him. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his brothers, Dewayne and Ronnie Beldon.
He is survived by his beloved wife, of 46 years, Dorothy Beldon; his children, Heather Jean Pierre and Derrick Allen Beldon both of Danville; brother, Joe Beldon (Jeanette) of Danville; sisters, Brenda Wesley (Larry) of Danville, Connie Manuel (Donald) of Stanford; grandchildren, Mastewal Bailey, Afton Bailey, Myer Bailey, Zachary Beldon and Jonah Beldon.
The funeral service will be 12pm, Tuesday, March 8, 2022 at Stith Funeral Home in Danville. Rev. Kyle Stachewicz will officiate. Burial will be in Danville Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Derrick Beldon, Buddy Trumbo, Joey Beldon, Tyler Beldon, Brad Smith, Donald Manuel, Larry Wesley and Gary Reid. Honorary pallbearers will be Kyle Beldon, Clayton ‘Blue’ Tyler, Robbie Bates, Mickey Dean and David Noble. Visitation will be 5pm-7pm, Monday, March 7, 2022 at Stith Funeral Home in Danville. Memorial donations are suggested to Heritage Hospice or National Down Syndrome Society.
