Clarence Warfield, 74, of Bowen Road, died Friday, Feb. 14, 2014.
Born June 3, 1939, in Casey County, he was the son of the late Eithel and Sarah Meadors Warfield. He was a retired machine operator at Penn Ventilator.
Clarence served in the U.S. Army and was a member of Gethsemane Baptist Church. He was preceeded in death by his wife, Bessie McDaniel Warfield, his sisters, Magline and Lossie, and brothers, Foster, Melvin, Chester, Lester and Larry.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews including Milton Lefevers of Junction City and Linda Lefevers (Jerry) Kerr of Columbia, Ky.; a sister, Mary Lou Lucas of Cincinnati; three brothers, Eithel (Betty) Warfield Jr. of Pine Knot, Ky., Elvin (Patricia) Warfield of Loveland, Ohio, and Ronnie (Brenda) Warfield of St. Martinsville, La.; and many great-nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2014, at Stith Funeral Home, Junction City. The Rev. Steve James will officiate. Military rites will be provided by Caswell Saufley Post 18 of the American Legion. Burial will be in Danville Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be John Warfield, Ray Warfield, Jerry Kerr, David Kerr, Curtis George and Bob McDaniel. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the senior men's Sunday School Class at Gethsemane Baptist Church.
Visitation will be after 5 p.m. Tuesday at Stith Funeral Home, Junction City
