Charles Smith

Charles “Corky” Smith, of Danville, died Monday, July 25, 2022.  Born January 3, 1948, he was the son of Edgar Allen Po Smith and Ida Smith.  He was a master spray man for Stanford Wood Products.   He was a wonderful husband, caring and loving.  He was also a jokester and loved his chewing tobacco.  He was preceded in death by his daughter in law, Tina Watson; brother, Eddie Smith; and a grandchild, Josh Watson.

He is survived by his wife, Kathy Smith of Danville, sons Charles Watson and Jeff (Candace) Watson, sister, Jane May, five grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren, and one on the way.

Visitation will be held from 4-6 pm, Monday, August 1, 2022, at Stith Funeral Home, Danville. Funeral service will be held at 11 am, Tuesday, August 2, 2022, at Stith Funeral Home, Danville. Burial will be in Danville Memorial Gardens. Honorary pallbearers are Sarah Whitehouse, Bradley Whitehouse, and Edmund Hagans, and God’s Circle of Love Sunday School group from 1^st Baptist Church in Danville.
