Burke Kenny Short Jr.

Burke Kenny Short, Jr. 75, died June 5, 2022, in Lexington, Kentucky. Born February 13, 1947, in Louisville, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Burke Kenny and Gertie Mae Lawson Short. Kenny worked as a security guard for Whirlpool / Matsushita. He loved listening to country music and attending Renfro Valley. Kenny also enjoyed watching UK basketball and westerns on tv. His favorite place to visit was Gatlinburg. Kenny loved teasing his wife and they would often dine at Red Lobster. He is predeceased by his loving wife of over fifty years, Barbara Ann Short.

Kenny is survived by his sons, Jeff (Amy) Short and Derek Short; and his grandchildren, Taylor Short and Parker Short.

Public visitation will be held from 11 am to 1 pm, Friday, June 10, 2022, at Stith Funeral Home, Danville. Funeral service will be held at 1 pm, Friday, June 10, 2022, at Stith Funeral Home, Danville. Rev. Brent Rowe will officiate. Burial will be at Danville Memorial Garden.
