Betty P. Routt, 93 years old of Danville died Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2012. Born March 25, 1919 in Moreland, she was the daughter of the late George and Mary Taylor Clarkson. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Luther Farris Mason and James S. Routt. She was retired from Corning Glass where she had worked for 24 years. She is survived by two sons, Farris (Connie) Mason of Danville and Luther Mason of Jeffersonville, IN; two daughters, Charlene (Ralph) Francis of Louisville and Linda McMillan of Los Angeles, CA; six grandchildren: Brian (Nicola) Mason, Alex Mason, Terri (Brad) Engleman, Dori (Anthony Crivello) Rosenthal, Lauren Buchanan and Michael Diebert; seven great grandchildren: Caitlin and Joey Carrin, Enzo and Charlotte Crivello, Connor Mason and Chance and Paige Buchanan; and one brother, Charles B. Clarkson of Danville. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Margaret Clarkson, Florence Shieve and Laura Walls and eight brothers: Henry, William, Jacob, Lee, James, Harvey, Stewart and George Clarkson, Jr. Services will be at 11 am, Monday at W. L. Pruitt Funeral Home in Moreland by Dr. Tommy Valentine with burial in Danville Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers are Brian Mason, Alex Mason, Brad Engleman, Kenny Grubbs, Stuart Clarkson and Henry Clarkson, Jr. Honorary pallbearer is Van Woodrow. Visitation is 5-8 pm, Sunday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the charity of your choice.
