Betty Lopez

Betty Mae Harris Lopez, 68, died Saturday, April 20, 2019.  She was born in Crab Orchard, Kentucky on October 18, 1950 to the late William Arthur, Sr. and Ethel Byrd Harris.  Betty was a Registered Nurse retiring from St. Joseph East in Lexington.   She was an avid fan of all UK sports.   She was a member of Indian Hills Christian Church.  In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by three brothers, James Lee Harris, Bobby Ray Harris, Lloyd Samuel Harris; three sisters, Stella Christine Terrell, Dola Harris Davis and Rose Onna Harris.

She is survived by a son, Eric Che’ Lopez of Danville; two grandchildren, William Noah Lopez, Elijah Chad Lopez; two brothers, William Arthur (Barbara) Harris, Jr. of Indiana, Andrew Thomas Harris of Danville; a sister, Shelia Kay (Robbie Owens) Harris of Danville.

The funeral service will be 1 p.m., Friday, April 26, 2019 at Stith Funeral Home in Danville.  Rev. Odis Clark will officiate.  Pallbearers will be Luc West, Brandon Franklin, Cameron Ayres, Brenden Ayres, Austen Ayres, Dawson Ayres and Noah Lopez.  Honorary pallbearers will be Chad Stanfield and Rena Drakeford.  Burial will be at Danville Memorial Gardens.  Visitation will be after 5 p.m., Thursday, April 25, 2019 at the funeral home.
