Obituary:

Betty Bruce Everman, 76, of Danville, passed away March 10, 2016 at University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky. She was born January 20, 1940 in Lexington, Kentucky to the late Emmett and Jane Ballenger Gilson. Betty Bruce was preceded in death by her husband, Talmadge Everman.

Graduating from Eastern Kentucky University with a degree in education, Betty taught elementary students for several years. She was an avid Bridge player, loved bowling, UK Basketball, and loved the lake and beach. Above all, Betty Bruce loved spending time with her family and friends.

Surviving are a son, David (Betsy) Everman of Danville; a daughter, Becky (Will) Selby of Versailles; and four grandchildren, Holly and Nicole Everman, and Hagan and Hunter Selby.

Funeral services will be 11 AM Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at the First Christian Church with Dr. Jerry Shepard officiating. Burial will be in Danville Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Monday, March 14, 2016 from 5-8 PM at Preston Pruitt Spurlin Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Hagan and Hunter Selby, WIll Selby, Steve Bramel, Mike DeWolfe, and Cole Miller. Honorary pallbearers will be Holly and Nicole Everman.

Memorial contributions can be made to TNBC Foundation or charity of your choice.
