Ann Hackley Wyler, 79, of Stanford passed away Wednesday January 6, 2010 at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center. Born April 21, 1930 in Lincoln County, she was the daughter of the late Maret Milner and Leathor Bowling Hackley. Ann was a graduate of Eastern Kentucky University and a retired business teacher from the Lincoln County School system with 39 years of service. She was a member of Hebron Lakeside Church, Lincoln County Retired Teachers Association and the Pink Hat Society.
She was preceded in death by her parents and by her brother Charles Elliot Hackley.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years Rudolph "Bud" Wyler; three sons Paul Edward Wyler (Susan) of Lancaster, David Bruce Wyler of Mount Washington and Norman Chris Wyler (Colleen) of Kingsport, TN; three grandchildren Laura Beth Livers, Deborah Ann Wyler and Christian Matthew Wyler; a great grandchild Caleb; a sister-in-law Dorothy Hackley.
A funeral service will be held 1 P.M. Saturday at Hebron Lakeside Church by Pastor Robert Camenisch. Burial will be in Danville Memorial Gardens.
Visitation is from 5-9 Friday at Spurlin Funeral Home, Stanford.
Casketbearers will be John Hackley, John Hoskins, Jesse Bowling, Earl Cooper, Jimmy Alford, Steve Carrier and Rodney Newsome. Honorary Bearers will be Kenneth Gooch, Gary Wayne Gander, Dr. Stan Carnes, George Pleasants and U.S. Saylor.
The family requests contributions in lieu of flowers be made to Hebron Lakeside Church, 27 Boone Road, Stanford, KY 40484.
