Moreland - Amos L. "Junior" Carey, Jr., 55 of Junction City died Sunday Nov. 14, 2010. Born Oct. 22, 1955 in Danville, he was the son of the late Amos Lee, Sr. and Mable Lee Southerland Carey. He was a loving husband and father. He enjoyed Nascar, Hunting, Fishing and Camping with his family. He was a member of Junction City First Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by one brother: Wayne Ross.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Freda Carey; 6 sons: Eric, Michael, Caleb, and Israel Carey, Joseph Hudson-Carey and Eddie LaCroix; 2 daughters: Ashley and Alexis Carey; 1 brother: Ray Ross; 6 sisters: Peggy Simpson, Dot Pike, Edith Simpson, Cissy Noe, Fredia Denson, and Nona Carey,1 grandson: Keelan LaCroix, his mother in law: Delois Southerland; 4 brother in law's: Greg, Roger, Brian, and Dewayne Southerland and 3 sister in law's: Beverly Watts, Glorita Denson, and Tracy Brown and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 11 AM, Wed. at Junction City First Baptist Church by Bro's. Dale Denton and Choe Sergent. Visitation 5-9 pm, Tues at the church.
Arrangements are entrusted to W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home in Moreland.
